Lieberman Foams At The Mouth For Iran

The eve of Rosh Hashanah is almost upon us and the Senate's most observant Jew is not looking for anything like a sweet new year. Instead his bloodlust for Iran is increasing and it showed when it was his turn to question General Petraeus. Joe didn't care too much about discussing Iraq, you know where all of our troubles are centered at. No, Joe wants another war. Another war we can not afford and with our troops stretched dangerously thin, one we can not win either.

From TPM Muckraker:

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) doesn't think Gen. Petraeus has enough war on his hands. The senator (changing the subject from Iraq with "I want to go to Iran...") asked Petraeus if he wanted "the authority" from Congress to "pursue the Qods forces into Iranian territory." Petraeus, for some reason, politely declined to start a third contemporaneous U.S. war.

Well at least Petraeus deserves some credit for exhibiting sanity while facing nuts like Lieberman. Of course, Petraeus wants to focus on only one lost cause at a time.
