With so much negative backlash, Speaker Christine Quinn has delayed her decision to support extending term limits so that Bloomberg can stay another four years. Term limits were enacted by the people of this city and (to quote Sarah Palin) doggone it that is how they should be changed, if that is the public's intent. The Mayor wants her to lead the Council to selfishly give itself a one-term extension but we can force her hand. Call her now and tell her you want the people to be able to decide, not the 51 Council members that stand to benefit from this assault on democracy.
