We are still a few weeks from primary day, so Luke Henry hasn't beaten his fellow challenger Paul Newell or incumbent Shelly Silver. However, he must have had a great, yet tiring (more so for mom) weekend as he and his wife Meghan introduce Oliver Henry to Chinatown, the Lower East Side and the world.

Luke Henry, one of Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver's two Democratic primary opponents, announced today that his wife, Meghan Bryant, has given birth to the couple's first son. Oliver Franklin Henry was born at 2:41 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 at New York Hospital. He weighed seven pounds, nine ounces.
From the press release:
"Mom and baby are doing great. An elated Luke says he's looking forward to taking Oliver to the park for an introduction to campaigning."
I don't know how much canvassing or phonebanking little Oliver can do from now until September 9th, but dad certainly has his work cut out for him, both at home and throughout the 64th Assembly district.
