Another Right Wing Hack And Washed Up Journalist Join Fox News

As far as talent goes, Fox does very well if you count the ability to sell your soul and bash Democrats for personal gain. O'Reilly, Hannity, Doocy and the rest already do a fantastic job at spreading the propaganda for Murdoch, Ailes and the entire VRWC. In the past week, Fox News has announced two more additions that fit in nicely with their particular brand of news. One is Bush Administration lackey that went to jail to protect her sources from being implicated as traitors to our country and the other is just an extremist goofball put on the wrong network.

From ThinkProgress:

Today, the Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz reveals that Fox News has hired former New York Times reporter Judith Miller, who will be an on-air analyst and write stories for Fox’s website:

“She has a very impressive résumé,” says Senior Vice President John Moody. “We’ve all had stories that didn’t come out exactly as we had hoped. It’s certainly something she’s going to be associated with for all time, and there’s not much anyone can do about that, but we want to make use of the tremendous expertise she brings on a lot of other issues. … She has explained herself and she has nothing to apologize for.

Miller, however, had more problems than her stories not turning out “exactly” as she had “hoped.” Miller has been a willing participant in the Bush administration’s quest to peddle lies to the American public. She was a key player in pushing false intelligence that led the public into the Iraq war, and was central to the Valerie Plame leak scandal.

On Sept. 7, 2002, she and fellow New York Times reporter Michael Gordon reported that Iraq had “stepped up its quest for nuclear weapons and has embarked on a worldwide hunt for materials to make an atomic bomb.” As proof, she cited unnamed “American intelligence experts” and unnamed “Bush administration officials.” Subsequently, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, and Donald Rumsfeld all pointed to Miller’s story as justification for war. On April 22, 2003, she told PBS’s Newshour that WMD had already been found in Iraq: “Well, I think they found something more than a ’smoking gun.’

Glenn Beck's problem was that he was pouring Kool-Aid for a network who's primary viewers who prefer reality over right wing talking points delivered with what passes for humor. He should do much better at Fox where many that tune already have extra large straws for that sweet, sugary concoction.

Judith Miller's "analysis" will go nicely with the other hacks at Fox. She had no problem parroting what the GOP whispered in her ear while at the Times so listening to Roger Ailes and regurgitating that should go swimmingly. When it comes to hiring credible journalists, the "fair and balanced" Fox News shows their willingness to counter other news outlets that are more in tune with the reality-based world.

The Myth Of Illegal Immigration

Media Matters covers the news like no other. The disturbing trends in many media outlets show that fear and hate are used in abundance to project ridiculous information in order to scare Americans:

Calling Glenn Beck For His Lobotomy

Glenn Beck may have had his ass operated on, but doctors dropped the ball. They should have done mouth or brain surgery as well. Even after that traumatic surgery and the lack of care he saw despite having the best insurance, he still ripped the man that helped start programs that were meant to bring a better quality of life to all Americans, our 32nd President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Glenn Beck Gets It Up The Ass In More Ways Than One

After Glenn Beck posted that slightly disturbing video of himself last week on YouTube, he finally gave us the full story about his terrible ordeal at the hospital. Glenn had to have hemorrhoid surgery, removing what must be an extremely painful piece from where we most often confuse for his mouth. He said his doctors were initially great, but complications from the medications helped to show him and his wife Tania the callousness of our nation's Emergency Rooms.

From ABC News:

"When we got to the ER there was such a lack of compassion. I've never seen anything like it," Beck said. "

Tania carried her husband and held him up as they waited for help, Beck said. Two nurses briefly came out and spoke to the couple. Then an exacerbated triage nurse greeted the two, Beck added.

"He never even made eye contact with me," Beck said.

Finally another nurse, who noticed Tania carrying her spouse, rushed to the couple and asked them whether they needed help.

While my heart goes out to them for seeing that life in the ER isn't the same as on NBC's show. For the longest time this conservative commentator would mock and lambast anyone that talked ill of the nation's health care system. Being Glenn Beck, he always did it in the most annoying fashion (probably why hardly anyone watches the show in the first place). Now that he is making some headlines over this, perhaps he has learned that things aren't going as well as his neo-con buddies says it is. Time will tell, but I'd still rather CNN pull his ass (no pun intended) off the air before having to find out.

Oh and by the way, I hope that diaper comes off soon ;-)

Karma Visits Glenn Beck

Aww, the poor dear. It seems that Glenn Beck's recent surgery went awry and the obnoxious talk show host with the worst ratings on CNN/CNN Headline News was doused with drugs to stop his pain.

In all seriousness, I hope he recovers fully and leads a normal, happy life (I just want him out of the public's earshot). In this video he talked about contemplating suicide from the pain and is deciding whether he will "name names" on his come back show on January 7th. His YouTube site calls this a tease for his show, so talking about being some sort of anti-corporate born again might just be a cry for better ratings.

Glenn Beck Is A Tool...Now In A Good Way

Glenn wanted to talk trash about who owns certain media companies around the country, but when his guest Norman Solomon unleashed some truth about Glenn's CNN owners, he got a little bit testy, as you can see in the video below. Mr. Beck has always been a tool in my eye, but now he got a little taste of having the mirror be shown back on him...and all at his expense.

Good job Mr. Solomon!

Glenn Beck Wants To Tongue Ron Paul?

Parents, shield your children's eyes, everyone else remember to swallow the coffee before reading this or else the monitor will be splattered because when it comes to Glenn Beck, he can always catch the audience off-guard (perhaps thats what he hardly has much of an audience). The Beckster invited libertarian Republican candidate Ron Paul on the show and he really got Glenn's rocks off, semi-literally that is.

From Crooks and Liars:

Warning: Do not view this clip within one hour of eating, as it may induce severe gastrointestinal distress and/or vomiting.

Ron Paul joins Glenn Beck to further his platform of eliminating taxes and the IRS. I’ll leave aside the fact that a presidential candidate is endorsing citizens break existing laws as a “reasonable civil disobedience” and merely point out that while I think everyone can get behind not having our taxes go to wasteful projects like the black hole of the Iraq occupation or bridges to nowhere, our taxes also pay for a lot of really good things as well–like federal infrastructure, education and health care for seniors and veterans, and I can’t believe people could have spent the last seven years with the Bush Administration and not see the value of keeping those programs funded.

But piddly little details like that do not bother Glenn Beck. In fact, Beck finds himself quite aroused by Ron Paul.

GB: What is your proposal?

RP: Mine is to get rid of the IRS and not replacing it with anything by cutting a lot of spending, because we lived without an income tax before 1913, so I’m not interested in the flat tax or the…or the sales tax. Although anything would be better.

GB: Yeah. Just what you’re saying. I mean, you’re speaking, you’re speaking…you know. If we weren’t both men…you know. I’d like to french kiss you on the whole abolishing the IRS thing… You had me at hello.

I seriously do not want to hear about Glenn Beck french kissing on TV, whether its Dina Sansing, Ron Paul or anyone else. You would think Glenn could show a little respect to the candidate, even if he is for abolishing our modern way of life (at least after 1913).

Glenn Beck: Heartless And Irrelevant

Since the moment CNN foolishly put Glenn Beck on the air, the crap coming out of his mouth has offended millions of people. Yet CNN continues to broadcast his show despite terrible ratings and ridiculous behavior. He is quickly becoming their own fatheaded Ann Coulter. She'll say anything to sell her books and he will do the same to get people to watch his sad excuse for a television show. Yesterday he turned his venom towards the hundreds (if not thousands by the time its over) that have lost their homes due to brush fires raging in Southern California.

From Media Matters:

On the October 22 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, host Glenn Beck stated, "I think there is a handful of people who hate America. Unfortunately for them, a lot of them are losing their homes in a forest fire today." Beck continued: "There are a few people that hate America. But I don't think the Democrats are those. I think there are those posing as Democrats that are like that." Beck's comment came as forest fires ravaged parts of Southern California, leaving one person dead, four firefighters wounded, and forcing about 1,500 people from their homes, according to The New York Times.

Beck's comment immediately followed his statement that "we're all one America" and "just because I disagree with you doesn't mean you hate America, and I love America. We all love America. We just disagree on how we should function." Beck had been distinguishing his views from those of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R), who, according to the Financial Times, "has urged Republican presidential candidates to capture the political centre ground ahead of next year's election by focusing on healthcare reform and education." Beck criticized Schwarzenegger's proposed strategy as "not the way to win on any front" and offered the following clarification: "When I say on the air, and I've said it a lot lately, that we need to come together, and we need to get back into the center, we're being pushed on to the edges -- I want you to understand, that is not on policies. I don't mean that we come in the center on policies. We come to the center on principles."

Not only is he a freakish maniac, he's a hypocrite as well. Even though he said it on his radio show CNN is still responsible for him being on their network. Coming to the center would be a huge change in our political climate and to some degree, that is what Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is trying to do. Beck trashes Arnold for his efforts and heartlessly goes after people that supposedly voted for him just because they happen to live in CA and their homes are being burned....therefore they hate America.

WTF is that?!? Seriously, does this man have even a hint of a conscience? I know what those people are going through. Two years ago I watched my mom's house threatened by the Chatsworth fire but miraculously the winds were light when the flames got to the area. If the conditions were what they are now, there would be no home. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that has been affected by these fires....and I want to demand that CNN pull Beck off the air.

Chris Matthews And Glenn Beck Have Something In Common

I'm not talking about the obvious fact that both of their pompous asses are on television. It is also apparent they have no idea what they are talking about, though Beck is a certifiable right-winger doing a terrible job of pretending he's not. One thing is for sure, they are both chauvinistic pigs. Beck's comments a few months ago to Dina Sansing of US Weekly were talked about for days and even weeks. So should Chris Matthews' words to Erin Burnett on Hardball this past Friday.

From Media Matters:

On the August 10 edition of MSNBC's Hardball, during a discussion of recent financial news, host Chris Matthews told CNBC's Erin Burnett: "[Y]ou're beautiful" and "[y]ou're a knockout," before closing the interview by saying, "It's all right getting bad news from you."

Matthews began the segment by asking, "So what's going on with the stock market? Yesterday, the stocks on Wall Street suffered their biggest one-day decline since February. Should we be worried?"

But at the conclusion of the interview, Matthews asked Burnett, who anchors CNBC's Squawk on the Street and Street Signs, "Could you get a little closer to the camera?" Burnett replied, "My -- what is it?" Matthews then said, "Come on in closer. No, come in -- come in further -- come in closer. Really close."

After Burnett began to comply, Matthews stated, "Just kidding! You look great! Anyway, thanks. Erin, it's great to -- look at that look. You're great." He went on: "No, you're beautiful. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. You're a knockout. Anyway, thank you, Erin Burnett."

Forget the stock market, Matthews' behavior is the bad news here. Tweety wasn't kidding, he was being a pig. While trying to reinforce stereotypes about women in professional roles only being there for their looks, what Chris did was show how he fits in with the rest of the chauvinistic pigs that reside in the Old Boys Club of Washington, D.C.

I wouldn't be surprised if him and Glenn were best buds.

Glenn Beck Is Getting Another Job???

The deal isn't official yet, but Washington Post Radio is considering adding Glenn Beck to their list of shows. Why on Earth they would do this, you got me. The Post would take another step backward in their journalistic endeavors with his addition. Beck is infamously known for attacking Muslims, women and other minorities in order to get laughs from his conservative brethren.

From Media Matters:

In a June 7 Washington Post article, staff writer Paul Farhi wrote: "Faced with continuing financial losses and stubbornly low ratings for Washington Post Radio," WTWP owner Bonneville International Corp. is "considering" picking up "a show hosted by conservative Glenn Beck." Farhi added: "However, both Bonneville and The Post must agree on all programming decisions." As Media Matters for America has repeatedly noted, Beck -- who hosts a nationally syndicated radio show and a nightly program on CNN Headline News, and joined ABC's Good Morning America as a regular contributor in January 2007 -- has repeatedly spouted inflammatory comments about Muslims, Arabs, Mexicans, and female guests on his radio and television programs, a tendency that went unmentioned by Farhi.

The Post cites that the decision hedges on their low ratings and financial difficulties. Yet Glenn Beck has proven that he is a loser when it comes to ratings. CNN desperately tries to prop his show with promos and gets nothing out of them. The media in general adores Beck despite his incendiary comments. What's worse, Beck tries to spin himself off as a nice, average guy that just happens to interject right-wing talking points into everything he does. This would be a bad move for Washington Post radio and another demerit for the media in general. Beck needs to lose jobs, not gain more.

Olbermann Calls Out Glenn Beck

On last night's 'Worst Person in the World' Keith Olbermann awarded Glenn Beck with the top spot after last week's disgraceful moment when Beck asked Dina Sansing to pose nude for him. Olbermann noted that "Not even Bill O would do his sexual heresy on camera."

Wingnuttery At It's Finest

I wouldn't usually post this type of film but sometimes you need to to see the idiocy in all its glory. Here we have Glenn Beck interview Senator Inhofe about global warming. Glenn admits there is something going on, but doesn't think it is done by mankind, although he won't consider changing his habits because China won't either. If you think that is bad, wait till James Inhofe opens his mouth.

More Journalistic Excellence From Glenn Beck

This guy never ceases to amaze me. Recently someone wrote that eventually he will say something so outlandish it will get him fired. I disagree with that statement completely. Tonight he responded to Keith Olbermann's assessment of the Beckster and out did himself by proposing to take nude photos of US Weekly's Dina Sansing during the interview.

When he posed the question to her the silence was deafening to say the least. She apparently did not find it funny that the wingnut wanted to take photos of her in the buff. I certainly wouldn't. Be sure to watch this short clip of Beck at his finest.

From Crooks and Liars:

via Chris Achorn:

BECK: Dina, let me tell you something. I don`t think you have to be famous. I think you just work in the average environment in America now, somebody would get a picture of you, and then it would be posted all around, and it will happen in your office.

SANSING: Possibly.

BECK: You don`t think so?

SANSING: Well, it depends. You know, it depends…

BECK: Dina, I`ve got some time and a camera. Why don`t you stop by? No? OK.

Glenn Beck and Oreo Cookies

I know Glenn Beck is a Grade-A schmuck, we all know this, even he probably knows it. Yet each time he opens that garbage-hole that is his mouth, each saying is still as offensive as every other audacious comment that he spews onto television screens that have CNN Headline News on. So what's the big deal about mentioning Oreo cookies? It's not the cookies he's talking about my friends.

CNN Transcript:

What happened to the Duke lacrosse team was practically a lynching without the rope. And for the first time in my life, Mr. Oreo Cookie without the chocolate on the outside can understand why people celebrated when O.J. Simpson was acquitted.....
Here's what I don't know. Will the leaders who rallied the troops against the Duke lacrosse team now take a stand and say lynching is bad, no matter what the color?......

BECK: You know, I am -- maybe it's just me. I just see this as a lynching. I mean, it really was a lynching without the -- without the rope. How often does that stuff happen?
Memo to Glenn, making racially charged comments like that is not funny. Maybe he does too many shows at the local KKK meetings or David Duke parties. Also, lynchings are not the same as examining rape cases Glennie boy and referencing the racial slur 'Oreo cookie' is completely unacceptable. Beck is absolutely disgusting and the networks (CNN and ABC) that carry him should be ashamed of themselves. My Two Sense reminds us what a lynching actually is.
