Who cares about the welfare of the American people? The old Congress certainly didn't. They let the pharmaceutical industry write legislation which increased profits by several billion dollars. The winners of this action was the industry and 15 members of Congress and their aides who got lucrative job offers to lobby for PhRMA. The losers however, are the rest of us.
