Cenk Uyugr of the Young Turks asks the question:
Personally I'm torn on this, both are funny guys and have a lot to offer the comedic world of news. Each has their own talents and honestly, I can't decide....so I guess I'll just continue to watch both.

Colbert Takes On The Bailout And Corporate Orgies
When Stephen Colbert debates Stephen Colbert, you never know what is going to happen. Last night before Palin went up against Biden, Colbert analyzed the crisis on Wall Street like no one on CNBC, CNN or PBS would ever dare to. I had to watch this three times before realizing its true beauty:

Colbert Enlists Nation To Help John McCain
On the green screen that is, he desperately needs to wake up and some background effects and photoshoppery should do the trick:

Colbert Has His Own O'Reilly Tirade History
After the old video of O'Reilly going beserk came out yesterday, it appears that Stephen Colbert also had an outburst way back when.
He truly does emulate Poppa Bear!

Colbert Likens Michelle Obama To "Jackie O"
Colbert's long trip down south to Philadelphia (approx. 100 miles from his studio on W. 53rd St.) has gotten a lot of press, earning him a spot on Larry King Live and now a visit from Michelle Obama. Her performance was spot on and Colbert was quite nice with her as well.

Chris Matthews Talks To Colbert About....Running For Senate???
I didn't think there could be anything worse about Chris Matthews than his one hour (or more) a day punditry on MSNBC. Unfortunately being a Senator would make his gasbag idiocy transcend the tube and go to the floor of the Senate. Now that is truly scary.

Who Helped Huckabee Rise?
Was it Stephen Colbert or Conan O'Brien? Jon Stewart comes in to settle the score.
Of course, only Mike Huckabee will eventually bring Huckabee down.

Huckabee Goes On Colbert For Another Bounce
The interview is hilarious, even of Huckabee's positions can be downright scary. Once again, Huckabee promised Colbert the VP bid if he wins the nomination, damn I almost want the Huckster to get the GOP's nod to see Colbert run. Or maybe the Gov is just saying that because he doesn't think he stands a chance.

Colbert Goes Glamourous For Pelosi
Colbert may not be able to do his show with the WGA strike going on, but he did introduce Nancy Pelosi for Glamour Magazine's award show at Lincoln Center this week. At least I can see something funny from him while WGA fights it out with the studios.

Obamaians Run S. Carolina "Favorite" Son Out Of S. Carolina
Once the Writers Guild comes back from striking (assuming that Big Media caves to their demands soon) Obama is going to find himself a mortal enemy in Stephen Colbert. It turns out that South Carolina Democrats turned down the popular Comedy Central "newscaster" in his bid to run for President in his homestate because of two well placed phone calls from Obama supporters.
Now the campaign denies that they had anything to do with this as one would expect a campaign to deny bad stories like these. Why would Barack Obama be afraid of little ol' Stephen Colbert anyways? It isn't like his poll numbers were any good or in double-digits.
Colbert only had a chance in the Democratic primary, where a spot on the ticket costs $2,500 as opposed to the Republican's $35,000 entrance fee. It's all about money on the "R" side, but even the "D"s have their egos.

Colbert Gets On The Stump, But Dems Kick Him Off
Stephen Colbert's candidacy came to a quick halt yesterday as the Democrats denied him from running on their ticket in South Carolina. His certification failed to pass the Democratic committee because he wasn't seen as a viable candidate, despite the fact that those that voted against him still love his show. So I guess we won't see too many of these public gatherings, as funny as this one is:

Colbert Makes A Big Announcement, Or Does He?
The Republicans don't have much going for them when it comes to Presidential contenders, so this pseudo-conservative might be their answer....

Jane Fonda Gets Intimate With Stephen Colbert
When I heard Jane Fonda was going on the Colbert show, I was expecting some sort of grilling by Colbert over her past anti-war actions. Yet I ended up watching this in disbelief, as I am sure Stephen's wife did as well:

Mitt Romney: From Mormon To Scientologist
An important question for Romney tonight would be to ask him what his favorite book is and how his friends around the room take that information. We already know that Americans overwhelmingly won't support a Mormon, so this could be his response to get the....Scientology crowd?
