Gov. Sanford Likens Himself To King David

When it comes to hypocritical conservatives, one thing we are starting to expect is that when they are caught with their hand in the cookie jar, lame and laughable excuses are soon to follow. This one from Governor Sanford is priceless:

Sanford May Be Toast??

Well it has certainly been a crazy day down in South Carolina. The pundits are going overboard in talking about this scandalous subject. GoOPer Ron Christie think Sanford may be toast for having an extramarital affair with an Argentine woman for several years but I think we all know that Sanford is beyond toast, he's completely and utterly finished in politics.



Forget the Presidential run in 2012, he should be brought up on impeachment charges for leaving his state unattended with no one in charge lest an emergency come up. Not only did he disgrace himself and his family, he put all of South Carolina at risk.

Gov. Sanford Has A Severe Case Of GOP Insanity

Sanford's delusions were on full display yesterday as he tried claiming that accepting federal money to fund South Carolina's public school system is some sort of child abuse:



And the craziest thing? This man wants to run for President in three years.

Despite Gov. Sanford, South Carolina Wants Their Stimulus Money

Mayor Jackson of Allendale, SC would love to put some of his town's residents back to work with stimulus funds. However, Governor Sanford refuses to accept the federal money for political reasons. Apparently appeasing the rabid GOP base to boost his Presidential chances in 2012 is more important than the welfare of the people in his state.

Jesus Was Not A Republican

If there was such a crazy system as the two-party one back in Jesus' day, there is no way in hell he would be a Republican. Jesus was for peace, helping one another and love for all mankind. Republicans like war, helping themselves and loving almost no one and hating everyone that is different from them. Even with those "values," Republicans like Gov. Mark Sanford like to think the man from Nazareth was one of them.

From The Christian Science Monitor:

"Jesus himself could come back as a Republican candidate these days, and there would still be some people saying, 'I don't know about that guy,' " Gov. Mark Sanford, a Republican, says in a phone interview. "There's a really strong fine-tooth comb people are running through the candidates that you probably wouldn't see if things were looking rosier for Republicans these days."

Well now Mr. Sanford, Jesus wouldn't come back for that. Even if he did, most likely he'd be a third party candidate.
