James Carville Supports Scooter Libby???

We all know that Carville leans to the right, being a big player for the Democratic Leadership Council. Yet to support leniency for convicted felon Scooter Libby is just too much. He has a history of attacking left leaning Democrats like Howard Dean and now he is pleading for a reduced sentence (which didn't happen by the way) for Cheney's old right-hand man.

I have seen what this trial has done to my own kids, just reading about it.

The letter written by Mary Matalin goes on and on about how great Scooter Libby has been for our country and his poor kids that won't have their father for the next couple years. Although Mary did write the letter to the Judge, Carville co-signed it as you can see from the link above. Scooter should have thought about his kids before committing all the crimes he was and wasn't convicted before risking the fate of his fatherhood. These letters show Libby has plenty of friends in Washington, but thank god the Judge knew to see beyond that.
